Overview

After graduating from Waseda University, International Liberal Studies and graduating from University of Florida, Levin College of Law with Cum Laude, Suin Youn was admitted to Florida Bar and has served as a U.S. attorney in ClassHankyul since 2015.

Suin Youn has formed an organic team with the Korean lawyers of ClassHankyul to provide legal advice and support which are necessary for ClassHankyul’s corporate clients to proceed with business or transactions both domestically and internationally. In addition, he is in charge of liaison for ClassHankyul based on his experience and trust accumulated over several years in which he has acted as a representative of ClassHankyul in the network of international law firms consisting of more than 60 verified foreign leading law firms.

From startups and small and medium-sized companies to multinational companies, Suin Youn has experience in representing and providing advice to corporate clients in various industries such as manufacturing, trade, software, semiconductor, construction, pharmaceuticals, content, and entertainment. He provides honest and reasonable advice to clients with the mindset that he himself is the client, and he strives to provide solutions to minimize potential legal risks while achieving what his clients intend to achieve in specific transactions or projects as well as in their daily business activities.

  1. Conducted legal due diligence on overseas investments, advised on transaction structures and investment-related regulation, and prepared, reviewed and advised on English versions of investment agreements for several domestic funds
  2. Supported establishment of units for overseas expansion of several domestic companies and supported various applications
  3. Prepared, reviewed and advised on English versions of various agreements related to overseas export/import transactions and other overseas business of several domestic companies

  9. Provided a pre-dispute advice, including strategies to reach an agreement for a domestic food franchisee related to an overseas dispute
  10. Conducted SIAC arbitration against major overseas shareholders on behalf of a domestic construction materials company related to a shareholder agreement dispute
  11. Conducted ICC arbitration on behalf of the seller against the purchaser in connection with a dispute concerning the agreement to transfer the right to develop wind power generation
  12. Conducted SIAC arbitration on behalf of a Chinese shareholder against a Korean shareholder in relation to a dispute concerning the shareholder agreement
  13. Conducted KCAB arbitration on behalf of a domestic content company against a Chinese platform related to a dispute over the agreement granting permission to use works
