An Advisor to the ClassHankyul, Advisor Wang mainly handles matters related to the financial and investment sectors such as structured finance, resolution of non-performing loans, and financial regulations, in addition to matters related to the construction sector such as investment in social overhead capital facilities, construction bidding, etc., and the fair trade sector matters such as corporate groups, unfair collaborative acts, as well as related advisory tasks such as tax appeals and audit explanations.
Advisor Wang worked as a public servant since 1986, and for 29 years from 1989 to August 2018, served as an auditor, manager, director, and deputy secretary-general with the Board of Audit and Inspection in the fields of finance, construction, and national taxes, conducting audits of state agencies such as the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, the Ministry of Construction and Transportation, the Financial Services Commission, the Ministry of Environment, local governments such as Seoul Special Metropolitan City, and public institutions such as the Financial Supervisory Service. As a member of the Audit Committee, Advisor Wang deliberated on, resolved, and re-determined matters such as handling the audit results, requests for examination, and re-deliberation, and as the secretary-general, exercised overall control over auditors and accounting audits.
As the head of the Defense Acquisition Program Administration from August 2018 to December 2020, Advisor Wang established and implemented on-site-focused defense industry policies, including the introduction of the DAPA-GO (consultation system for on-site exports from the defense industry in order to provide one-stop support for defense exports) system in November 2018 to enhance the global competitiveness of the domestic defense industry.
