Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital is currently conducting a project called “Healthy First Step”, a project designed to develop a system to identify children and infants at high risk of developmental delay at an early stage and ensure effective intervention, in response to an increase in cases of developmental delay among children and infants. The donation will be used to select eligible children through cooperation with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and comprehensive parenting support centers in the city’s districts, as well as parent consulting and close examination of developmental issues in conjunction with six other institutions of rehabilitative medicine affiliated with the association of children’s rehabilitation hospitals.
At the ceremony, managing partner Kyungwoo Lee expressed “support for the aim of the ‘Healthy First Step’ project initiated by Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital”, and the “hope that the donation, however small, will be of help for children suffering from developmental disability and their families.” In response, Dr. Lee, the director, expressed “sincere gratitude for ClassHankyul’s sympathy and support for the profound importance of ensuring early discovery and intervention for children who may potentially suffer from developmental disability.”
