Mr. Wookeun Lee is a senior legal counsel at ClassHankyul. Mr. Lee mainly handles civil/criminal, administrative, patent, and corporate law matters.
Mr. Lee was formerly the chief judge of the Seoul Central District Court (and chief judge of the Seoul Administrative Court), chief judge of the Incheon District Court, chief judge of Chuncheon District Court, chief presiding Judge of the Seoul High Court, Senior Professor of the Judicial Research and Training Institute, Judiciary Researcher with the Supreme Court, and Litigation Officer of the National Court Administration. After retiring as a judge, Mr. Lee served as a Representative Attorney of the Han Seung Law Firm and the Chungjeong Law Firm(HMP). Mr. Lee also served as the Chair of the National Assembly Ethics Committee, Central Land Tribunal, Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee, Private School Dispute Mediation Committee, and Seoul Metropolitan Election Management Committee, as well as being a member of the Press Arbitration Committee, a director of the Seoul Arts Center, an auditor of the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, a director of the Korea Classical Translation Institute, and a columnist for JoongAng Ilbo and Gukdong Broadcasting. Attorney Lee is currently a professor at Sookmyung Women’s University, a director of the Ewha School, a columnist with the LA Chosun Ilbo, Chair of the Human Rights Commission of the International PEN Club Korea Headquarters, Chair of Korean Writers’ Rights Advocacy Committee of the Korea Writers Association, and an honorary director of the Seoul National Symphony Orchestra.
