Overview
Taejin Kang is an honorary professor of Seoul National University. He majors in the field of high-tech composite materials. He has contributed to the academic and technological development of fashion fiber composite materials by serving as the President of the Korean Society for Composite Materials, the President of the Korean Fiber Society, the Head of the Intelligent Textile System Research Center, and the Head of the Fashion Textile Center. He has contributed to enhancing the social role of science by serving as the Commissioner of the National Science and Technology Committee, the Chief Commissioner of the Incorporation Commission of the National Research Foundation of Korea, and the Head of School of Engineering at Seoul National University. At Aachen University in Germany, Taejin Kang was awarded the "Karman Fellowship" (2015) which is given to world-renowned scholars. Taejin Kang, as the author of "Korea 4.0, the Time Is Now", "Fashion Puts on Engineering", "Korea Agenda", "Surrogate", etc., presents various advice and alternatives for development of the society.
